Repair Work at SAGA Bridge over Saugatuck River - Deviation from Drawbridge Operations

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a temporary deviation from the drawbridge operation regulations (33 CFR 117.5 and 33 CFR 117.221) due to bridge maintenance and repair work at the Saga Bridge over the Saugatuck River in Westport. Under this deviation, the draw of the bridge is authorized to operate as follows from 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, to 8:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018:

From 8:00 a.m. Monday to 3:00 p.m. Friday, the draw will remain closed to maritime navigation. From 3:00 p.m. Friday to 8:00 a.m. Monday, the draw shall open with 24 hours advance notice. Vessels capable of passing under the bridge in the closed to navigation position shall be allowed to pass at all times.
