The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Project Development Unit will conduct a public informational meeting to present a concept to improve safety and traffic operational on Route 106 (New Canaan Road) at Belden Hill Road.  The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road, Wilton, Connecticut.  A design presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a question and answer period immediately following.
The concept is identified as Proposed Project No. 161-003 (PP_161_003).
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public about proposed improvements and solicit feedback. The proposed improvements include the installation of a modern roundabout at the intersection to replace the existing all-way stop control. Minor widening of the roadway is also anticipated on all four approaches in the vicinity of the roundabout.
Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are anticipated.
The public informational meeting is being held to afford a full opportunity for public participation and to allow open discussion of any views and comments the community may have concerning this proposed project.
