Pavement Preservation on Route 7 from Route 123 (New Canaan Avenue) to Glover Avenue in Norwalk
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of a pavement preservation project on Route 7 in Norwalk. The project consists of 2.15 miles (northbound and southbound) of milling existing bituminous concrete pavement, crack filling and repairs to the underlying roadway, replacement of catch basin tops and placing new bituminous concrete pavement.
Project No.0170-3488 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. at a cost of $3,630,593.15 on March 28, 2018, and is scheduled to be completed in September 2018.
Lane closures will begin on Sunday night, August 5, 2018, between 6 PM and 6 AM Sunday through Thursday with Friday night as a rain date for approximately one month.
One lane will be maintained in each direction of Route 7 between Route 123 and Grist Mill Road.
