Nighttime Street Sweeping along Rt. 8 in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a nighttime street sweeping project will be performed on Route 8 northbound and southbound, including ramps, in Waterbury, overnight Thursday, May 10, to Friday morning, May 11, 2018. 

Work hours will be 8:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect various lane closures on Rt. NB & SB between Exit 37 and Exit 29.

Impact Attenuators, signing patterns, and cones will be utilized to guide motorists through the worksite. Traffic will be alternating from left lane to right lane.  The regular work schedule for

this project is 8:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
