                           Nighttime Resurfacing along Route 10 in Hamden

       

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 10 in Hamden, beginning Sunday, May 20, 2018.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.36 miles of Route 10 in Hamden.  This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, May 20, 2018 through Wednesday, June 20, 2018. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, May 20, 2018 through Wednesday, May 30, 2018.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 through Wednesday, June 20, 2018.

No work will occur during the Memorial Day weekend from Friday morning May 25, 2018 through Monday,

May 28, 2018.  Work will resume on Tuesday night May 29, 2018.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 10 from .13 mile north of SSR 453 (Mount Carmel Ave.) to the Cheshire Town Line.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
