Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on SR 844 (Meriden Rd.) in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 0.52-mile segment of SR 844 (Meriden Road) in Waterbury, Wednesday, May 30, through Friday, June 8, 2018.  Work hours will be 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

    This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on SR. 844 (Meiden Rd.) between Barker Terrace and the Wolcott town line.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a .m. (Monday through Thursday) (Friday start if needed will be at 9:30 p.m.)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
