Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Southwest Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 in Southwest Connecticut, Monday, June 4, through Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Work hours will be 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Lane closures will be required.

The project consists of bridge maintenance to various bridges on I-95 northbound and southbound between Greenwich and Bridgeport. 

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect Right lane closures on I-95 NB & SB between Exit 2 (Delavan Ave.) in Greenwich and Exit 29 (Stratford Avenue/Seaview Avenue) in Bridgeport.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
