Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along Route 2 in East Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 2 EB in East Hartford, beginning Sunday, April 22, 2018. 

The work consists of bridge maintenance on Route 2 EB on Bridge# 2364 (Darlin St. overpass) in East Hartford. This project is scheduled to begin from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 2018 to the morning of Friday, May 11, 2018. The bridge maintenance project will require several night time closures on Route 2 EB on Bridge #2364 (Darlin St. overpass).

This work is being performed by Hammonasset Construction, LLC.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

The following detour will be implemented while work is being performed:  Traffic will be detoured at Exit 3 (Pitkin Street), left onto Pitkin Street, right onto Jayce Street and back onto Route 2 EB. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
