Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along Interstate 95 in Stamford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 95 northbound and southbound in Stamford, Monday, October 22,  through Friday, November 2, 2018.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on Interstate 95 North and South, Bridge #00026 (Greenwich Ave. overpass) and Bridge #0027 (SSR 493 overpass) in Stamford.  This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 to the morning of Friday, November 2, 2018. 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Application.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 North and South in Stamford between Exit 7 (Atlantic Street) and Exit 6 (West Avenue) in Stamford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
