Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along I-95 in Greenwich and Stamford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound and southbound in Greenwich & Stamford, beginning Monday, April 23, 2018.

The project consists of bridge maintenance to various bridges on I-95 NB & SB in Greenwich & Stamford.  This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 to the morning of Friday, May 25, 2018 on the bridges listed below:

• Bridge #00020–Ferris Dr. Overpass-Greenwich
• Bridge #00024-Wilson St. Underpass-Stamford
• Bridge #00025-Fairfield Ave. Underpass- Stamford

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-95 NB & SB between Exit 5 (US Route 1) and Exit 7 (Greenwich Ave.) in Greenwich and Stamford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
