New Off-Ramp Scheduled to Open on December 7, 2018, Interstate 84, Exit 43, in West Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the newly constructed Interstate 84 Exit 43 (Park Road) off-ramp is anticipated to be opened to traffic on Friday, December 7, 2018, weather permitting. Motorists are urged to use caution and reduce speeds when travelling through the new interchange.
Temporary lane shifts and short duration closures may occur along the Interstate-84, EB and WB off-ramps on a temporary basis on Thursday, December 6, 2018, during the nighttime and into the early morning hours to facilitate the transition between the existing and the newly constructed off-ramp.
This project is administered by the Town of West Hartford, with construction inspection services provided by Weston and Sampson Engineers, Inc. and oversight by the CTDOT. The project began on September 19, 2017, and is on schedule to be completed by the Fall of 2019. The prime contractor is Paramount Construction.  For additional information and questions, please refer to the Town of West Hartford’s website:  http://www.westhartfordct.gov/ParkRd.
