The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activity will begin on SR 806 (Newtown Road) at Old Shelter Rock Road in Danbury.

The project consists of realigning Old Shelter Rock Road and paving Newtown Road, as well as installing a traffic signal and dedicated turning lanes to the intersection. 

DOT Project No. 34-309 was awarded to Dayton Construction Company, Inc. at a cost of $1,549,521.95 on 10/18/2017 and is scheduled to be completed 09/25/2018.
