The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will be begin on August 10, 2018, for intersection improvements on Routes 74 and 195 in the vicinity of the Tolland town green.  

The project consists of drainage improvements, intersection realignments at Old Stafford Road and Route 74, Route 74 and Route 195, as well as Old Post Road and Route 195.  Along with the realignment at Route 195 and Old Post Road the intersection will receive new traffic signal equipment. 

DOT Project No. 0142-0149 was awarded to B & W Paving and Landscaping, LLC, at a cost of $2,410,878.35 and is scheduled to be completed October 30, 2019.

Route 74 and Route 195 will be impacted between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Old Post Road will be impacted between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm.
