I-84 Waterbury Construction Update  - Pending Closure and Detour
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that upcoming steel removal operations on the Scott Road Bridge will require a closure and detour of I-84 westbound for two nights followed by I-84 eastbound for two nights. Motorists will detour from I-84 to local roads, and back to I-84, via detours at both westbound and eastbound Exits 25, as follows:
I-84 Closure and Detour Time:

11:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Dates and Detour Routes:
Westbound I-84 - Monday and Tuesday, March 5 and 6:
I-84 traffic will detour off the highway at the westbound Exit 25 off-ramp, continue straight onto Plank Road, and re-enter I-84 via the westbound 25 on-ramp.
Eastbound I-84 - Wednesday and Thursday, March 7 and 8:
I-84 traffic will detour off the highway at the eastbound Exit 25 off-ramp, continue straight on Reidville Drive, and re-enter I-84 via the eastbound 25 on-ramp at Scott Road.
These temporary detours are in addition to the regular nightly lane closures permitted within the area.
If inclement weather causes postponement of work, the rain date will be the following night.
Note: If westbound steel removal operations are completed in one night rather than two, then eastbound steel removal will take place beginning Tuesday night, March 6, and continue the night of March 7.
