Traffic Signal Revisions at Various Locations Statewide
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) is developing plans to revise traffic control signals at the following locations:
•             Darien – U.S. Route 1 (Boston Post Road) at I-95 Exit 13 southbound On-Ramp
•             East Haven – Route 80 (Foxon Road) at River Road and Wheelbarrow Lane
•             Milford – U.S. Route 1 (Bridgeport Avenue) at I-95 Exit 34 Ramps
•             New Canaan – Route 124 (Main Street) at Locust Avenue and Heritage Hill Road
•             North Haven – Route 5 (Washington Avenue) at Franklin Street and Stop & Shop Driveway
•             North Haven – Route 5 (Washington Avenue) at North Haven Shopping Center Driveway
•             Norwalk – U.S. Route 1 (Boston Post Road) at I-95 Exit 13 northbound Off-Ramp and RiverPark Driveway
•             Norwalk – State Road 719 (Main Avenue) at Merritt 7 (Building 101) and Shopping Center Driveway (456 Main Avenue)
•             Stratford – U.S. Route 1 northbound (Ferry Boulevard) at cut-off to East Main Street
•             Stratford – U.S. Route 1 (Barnum Avenue Cutoff) at East Drive Dock Shopping Center and Humphrey’s Driveway
•             Stratford – U.S. Route 1 southbound (Barnum Avenue Cutoff) at cut-off from U.S. Route 1 northbound
•             Westport – U.S. Route 1 (Post Road East) at Turkey Hill Road North/South
•             West Haven – Route 162 (West Main Street/Wagner Place) at Main Street and Kelsey Avenue.
It is the Department’s policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.  It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project’s development.  At this time, it is anticipated that an informational meeting or formal public hearing will not be necessary.
The design plans for the project are expected to be completed by April 2018 and the project is tentatively advertised for construction in July 2018.
