The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a traffic shift for stage construction will begin on January 16, 2017, on Route 35 (Danbury Rd.) in Ridgefield. This is Bridge # 02277 over Ridgefield Brook. All work is “weather permitting.”

The project consists of constructing a temporary roadway and bridge to maintain traffic in both directions.  Bridge 02277 will be replaced by removing the existing superstructure and a portion of the abutments and constructing a new span consisting of pile caps and a precast concrete deck. There will also be the installation of storm water collection and drainage systems.
