Route 6 in Farmington to be Closed for Bridge Construction Activities
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that U.S. Route 6 (Scott Swamp Rd) in Farmington will be closed starting Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 07:00 PM until 07:00 AM on Saturday July, 22, 2017.
The project, which is being administered by the Town of Farmington, consists of the construction of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail.
Traffic will be detoured on Route 6 (Scott Swamp RD) at the intersections with Spring Lane (to the South) and New Britain Avenue (to the North) and directed through Spring Lane, Hyde Road and New Britain Avenue.
Project No. 0051-0268 is a Town Administered project that was awarded to J. Iapaluccio, Inc. at a cost of $3,851,997.99 in May 2016, and is scheduled to be completed in September, 2017.
