Nighttime Resurfacing Project on Route 174 (East Main Street) in New Britain

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 174 (East Main St.) in New Britain, beginning Sunday, June 4, 2017. 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.43 mile segment of Route 174 (East Main St.) in New Britain.  This milling portion of this project is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 4, 2017 to Thursday, June 8, 2017. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 to Monday, June 19, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 174 (East Main St.) in New Britain from the Newington town line to 300' east of Route 71 (Martin Luther King Drive).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday-Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
