Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Branford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 in Branford, May 17 through June 16, 2017.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on I-95 NB & SB, Bridge #00187 (Hosley Avenue Underpass) in Branford.  This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 to the morning of Friday, June 16, 2017.

No work will be performed on Sunday May 28, 2017 and Monday, May 29, 2017.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect delays on Interstate 95 at Exit 52, Rt. 100 (North High Street) through Exit 53, (SR 794) in Branford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday–Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
