Weekend Closures in May of the I-84 Eastbound On-ramp from Broad Street in Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that due to the repair work needed at the bridge deck joints on the I-84 eastbound on-ramp at Broad Street in Hartford, the on-ramp will be closed from Friday 8:00 PM to Monday 5:00 AM during two and possibly three weekends, May 6 - May 23, 2016.

Detours will be used to complete the work on this bridge, No. 1765. The Broad Street on-ramp will be closed to complete repairs of concrete deck ends, and the replacement of existing bridge joints. A detour will be in effect This project is administered by the Office of Construction District 1, Rocky Hill.

DOT Project No. 0171–0360 started on August 3, 2015 and is on schedule to be completed on May 30, 2016. The prime contractor is New England Road, Inc.

LANE CLOSURE INFO –

The Contractor will be allowed to close the I-84 eastbound on-ramp from Broad Street during the consecutive weekends of May 6 until May  23^rd, from Friday 8:00 PM to Monday 5:00 AM.

Broad Street On-Ramp to I-84 E.B.

The on-ramp from Broad Street to I-84 E.B. for Bridge No. 1754 will be detoured to the Sigourney St on-ramp for I-84 E.B.
