Sand Blasting & Painting on the Stevenson Dam, Route 34 in Oxford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a sand blasting and painting project will be performed on the Stevenson Dam, Route 34 in Oxford beginning Thursday, October 13, 2016.
This project consists of placing equipment and trucks on the dam which is located on Route 34 in Oxford to remove paint and help with general maintenance. This project is scheduled to occur Thursday, October 13, 2016 through Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
First Light Power Resources will be performing the work.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists should expect delays on Route 34, alternating traffic on the Stevenson Dam. Traffic control will consist of uniformed police, signing patterns, variable message boards. Road work will occur
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
