The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a project to replace an existing culvert under I-95 between Interchange 59 (Goose Lane) and Interchange 58 (Route 77) in Guilford, beginning on May 1, 2016. 

The replacement will begin on the northbound side in the shoulder and then proceed into the northbound right lane, the northbound left lane, the median, the southbound left lane, and finally the southbound right lane and shoulder.  The project will be completed with the construction of inlet and outlet headwalls which will not affect traffic.

DOT Project No. 0200-0004 was awarded to Dayton Construction on March 16, 2016 and is anticipated to be complete June 30, 2016. The cost is estimated to be $500,000.

LANE CLOSURE INFO
No impact to the number of through lanes will be allowed northbound Monday through Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

No impact to the number of through lanes will be allowed southbound Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

RAMP CLOSURE INFO 
Exit 59 southbound entrance ramp from Goose Lane may be stopped for five minutes during the southbound portion of the work to allow for movement of construction equipment, materials and equipment.
