Pavement Preservation Project on Route 9 in Cromwell
The project consists of milling and paving, full-depth removal and repair of pavement on bridge decks, installation of new bridge joints, and striping new pavement markings on Route 9 between Exits 19 and 20S and on corresponding interchange ramps with I-91 in Cromwell. The project will begin on May 2, 2016.
DOT Project No. 0033-0131 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. at a cost of $5,085,511.65 on March 21, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed October of 2016.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
The contractor will be working Monday through Friday between 8 PM and 6 AM and Saturday and Sunday when warranted during similar timeframes.
DETOUR INFO
The contractor will be allowed to close certain Route 9/I-91 and Route 9/Route 372 exits to facilitate bridge repairs throughout the construction period. Posted detours will be intermittent and temporary with ramps reopened by 6 AM.
