Overnight Closure Scheduled for the Passenger Drop-Off Area at the Stamford Transportation Center Beginning on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10 PM to Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10 AM for Pedestrian Bridge Construction Activities
The Stamford Transportation Center’s passenger drop off area located on South State Street in Stamford, near Track # 5, will be closed starting Friday, April 1, 2016, at 10 PM to Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 10 AM to facilitate pedestrian bridge construction activities.
Vehicle and pedestrian access will be completely restricted at the passenger drop-off area during the scheduled closure. The public can access the station via Station Place, on the opposite side of the station, near the tracks. One lane of South State Street will remain open to vehicle traffic and no stopping will be permitted.
This work is part of a $8,779,000.00 contract awarded to Ecco III Enterprises, Inc of Yonkers, NY on April 24, 2014 and is scheduled for completion in late December, 2016.
