Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on Route 220 in Enfield

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 220 in Enfield beginning Sunday, July 17, 2016.

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.93 mile segment of Route 220 in Enfield. The milling segment of this project is scheduled to begin at US 5 (Enfield Street) on Sunday, July 17, 2016 to Wednesday, July 20, 2016.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin at US 5 (Enfield Street) on Sunday, July 24, 2016 to Thursday, July 28, 2016.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 220 from US 5 (Enfield Street) to Entrance of Five Guys Restaurant. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the milling and resurfacing is

7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday-Thursday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
