Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along I-95 northbound in Stamford

   The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound in Stamford beginning Monday, August 1, 2016.

   The work consists of bridge maintenance on I-91 NB, Bridge #00032 (Metro-North Railroad and local roads) overpass. This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016 to the morning of Thursday, August 11, 2016.

   This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

   Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 NB, in Stamford, between Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue) and Exit 9 (US 1).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday)

   Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
