Nightly Detour of Route 10 in Farmington Between the Hours of 9 PM and 5 AM, Starting on Monday, October 24, Through Friday, October 28, 2016
- Motorists Advised to Seek Alternative Routes -
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled nightly closure and detour of the northern section of Route 10 (Waterville Road) at the intersection of Route 4 in Farmington to facilitate ongoing construction activities related to the reconstruction of Route 4.
The closure will occur nightly between 9 PM and 5 AM, and is anticipated to start on Monday, October 24, 2016 and is anticipated to be completed on or before October 28, 2016. The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of new storm drainage system.
The detour route will be utilizing Old Farms Road, Tillotson Road/Town Farms Road, Route 4, Garden Street, and Mill Lane. Detour signs will be posted along with Farmington and Avon Police assisting with traffic control.
Project No. 0051-0260 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. of New Britain, Connecticut on January 20, 2016 at a cost of $12,224,171.69, and is scheduled to be completed in June 2018.
