I-84 Exits 25A & 26 in Waterbury to be Closed Nightly From June 12 To June 15, 2016

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the I-84 Exits 25A & 26 on and off-ramps in Waterbury will be closed nightly from June 12 through June 15, 2016. 
In order to complete bridge reconstruction activities prior to pavement preservation and paving along I-84 in Waterbury, Exit 25A on and off-ramps must close nightly on June 12, and 13, and Exit 26 on and off-ramps must close nightly on June 14,and 15. 
The project is divided into two sections.  Section one begins in the City of Waterbury and extends into Cheshire and includes paving on east and westbound I-84 including the on and off-ramps at Exit 25A and Exit 26.  Section two is located in Southington in the westbound direction only and includes the Exit 31 westbound on-ramp. 
Project No. 0025-0146 was awarded to American Industries, Inc. of Jewett City, CT on March 21, 2016 at a cost of $3,540,000.00 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2016. 
      
LANE CLOSURE INFO
The work will close the on and off-ramps nightly from the hours of 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. 
For the closure of Exit 25A, a detour will be provided that utilizes Exit 26 and State Route 601, East Main Street. 
For the closure of Exit 26, a detour will be provided that utilizes Exit 25A, Austin Road and I-84.
Motorists are advised to follow the detour during these hours.
