Expect Significant Delays  on Thursday, July 14 through Saturday, July 16, 2016 as I-95 NB Traffic is Shifted onto the New Bridge over Water Street. The I-95 NB Off-Ramp to I-91 NB (Exit 48) will become a Right Hand Exit
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that activities relating to the relocation of I-95 Northbound lanes to the new bridge over Water Street in New Haven are expected to cause delays throughout the I-95 New Haven Corridor during the weekend of Thursday, July 14 through Saturday, July 16, 2016. Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes to get to your destination.

Lane and on/off-ramp closures and detours will occur on I-95 Northbound between 9 PM Thursday, July 14 and 6 AM Friday, July 15 and between 9 PM Friday, July 15 and 9 AM Saturday, July 16, 2016. A 20 minute stoppage on I-95 Northbound will occur between the hours of 12 AM and 7 AM Saturday, July 16, 2016 to facilitate the installation of overhead signage.
The I-95 Northbound off-ramp to I-91 Northbound (Exit 48) will become a right hand exit. 
All travel lanes on I-95 Northbound will be reopened by 9 AM Saturday, July 16, 2016 in a new alignment over the new bridge over Water Street, completing another major milestone for the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program.
These construction activities are necessary to facilitate roadway construction as work progresses on the Reconstruction of the I-95 / I-91 / Route 34 Interchange and other projects that are part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO- Signs will be posted to assist motorists
Nighttime lane closures will occur on I-95, I-91, Route 34 and the surrounding interchange between the hours of 9 PM and 5 AM. This work is necessary to facilitate scheduled bridge construction and roadway repairs.
CONTINGENCY DATE- In the event of inclement weather, the work will be rescheduled to Saturday, July 16 through Sunday, July 17, 2016.
