Daytime Closure of Route 110 in Stratford on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, for Bridge Construction Activity
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work associated with the replacement of Bridge No. 02622 (Route 110 over Freeman Brook) in Stratford will require the daytime closure and detour of Route 110 on  May 11, 2016, from 9 AM to 3 PM.
The project involves the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 02621 (Route 110 over Pumpkin Ground Brook) and the replacement of Bridge No. 02622 (Route 110 over Freemason Brook) in Stratford. The project will be completed in November of 2016.
 
DETOUR INFO
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on May 11, 2016, all traffic on Route 110 will be detoured onto Main Street. Motorists traveling northbound on Route 110 will be detoured onto Main Street near Pecks Mill Pond and continue north on Main Street until rejoining Route 110 near the intersection of Route 15. Motorists traveling southbound on Route 110 will be detoured onto Main Street and continue south on Main Street until rejoining Route 110 near Pecks Mill Pond. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
