CTDOT Planning Traffic Signal Revisions in New Haven and Fairfield Counties

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is developing plans to revise traffic control signals at the following locations:

  • Fairfield – U.S. Route 1 (Kings Highway East) at Brentwood Avenue and Longfellow Avenue
  • New Canaan – Route 123 (New Norwalk Road) at Lakeview Avenue and Little Brook Road
  • New Haven – Route 17 (Middletown Avenue) at Cross Street
  • North Haven – Route 103 (Maple Avenue) at Sackett Point Road
  • Norwalk – Route 136 (Winfield Street) at Strawberry Hill Avenue
  • Shelton – Route 110 (Howe Avenue) at Route 8 Southbound Off-ramp (Exit 14)
  • Shelton – Route 8 Southbound Ramps (Exit 13) at SR 714 (Bridgeport Avenue)
  • Stamford – Route 106 (Courtland Avenue) at Maple Tree Avenue and Taylor Reed Place
  • Stratford – Route 113 (Main Street) at North Avenue and Beers Place
  • Trumbull – Route 127 (White Plains Road) at Unity Road
  • Woodbridge – Route 313 (Rimmon Road) at Beecher Road (Beacon)
  • Woodbridge – Route 313 (Rimmon Road) at Johnson Road (Beacon)

      It is the Department’s policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.  It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project’s development.  At this time, it is anticipated that an informational meeting or formal public hearing will not be necessary.

      The design plans for the project are expected to be completed by August 2017 and the project is tentatively advertised for construction in November 2017.
