Waterbury Bus Facility Utility Infrastructure

    

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the installation of a new 12” water main on Echo Lake Road terminating on Route 262 and the installation of a 6” sanitary sewer force main on CT Route 262 in Watertown. This work is in conjunction with the construction of a new CTTransit bus maintenance facility.

The project consists of installation of new water main, sanitary sewer force main and minor rehabilitation of the existing Town of Watertown Sanitary Sewer System.  The project also consists of the milling and paving of Echo Lake Road.

DOT Project No. 0431-0025 was awarded to Richards Corporation at a cost of $6,842,752.00 on June 19, 2015 and is scheduled to be completed November 1, 2016. This project is administered by the Office of Construction – District 4, Thomaston.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Expect various lane closures on Echo Lake Road and CT Route 262 Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Horizontal drilling is anticipated at several locations on the project and lane closures should be expected at these locations without restrictions.
