Culvert No. 06739, is located on Route 148, approximately 1.89 miles southeast of the intersection of Route 148 with Route 79, in Killingworth.

Culvert No. 06740, is located on Route 148, approximately 0.89 miles west of the intersection of Route 148 with Route 81 in Killingworth.

Culvert No. 06665, is located on Route 82, at the intersection with the Route 9 on and off ramps in Chester.

The contract was awarded to Trademark Contractors, LLC of Bristol, CT on March 12, 2015 at a cost of $2,375,944.25 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2015.

Construction of the bridge and culverts on Route 148 in Killingworth will require the closure of the roadway. The narrow pavement width at these locations will prohibit stage construction while maintaining traffic through the work zone.  There will be a detour in place for work performed along route 148 utilizing Route 79, Route 80, and Route 81.  Motorist should expect the detour to be in place from June 20, 2015 to August 25, 2015.  The detour will be limited to closure of one site at a time.

At all other times, motorist can expect lane closures along Route 148 and Route 82 at Bridge 02680, Culvert Nos. 06739, 06740, and 06665.
