Rehabilitation of Bridge #03361, U.S. Route 5 over Route 190 in Enfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the rehabilitation of Bridge #03361, U.S. Route 5 over Route 190, in the Town of Enfield is scheduled to begin on or about Friday, May 1, 2015.

The project consists of repairing steel girders, painting the steel fascia girders, spot painting the structural steel, replacing the expansion bearings and repairing the substructure. The bituminous overlay will be removed on top of the deck and full and partial depth deck patching will be performed.  A new bituminous overlay will be installed. New concrete sidewalk along east side of U.S. Route 5 within the project limits will be installed.

DOT Project No. 0048-0196, was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company Inc., of Avon, Connecticut on April 17, 2015 at a cost of $ 2,936,030.95 and is scheduled to be completed in November, 2015.

LANE CLOSURE INFO-

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 5, between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday and between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm Saturday and Sunday.  One lane in each direction on Route 190 may be closed on all non-holiday days.
