Reconstruction of Lake Street (SR 533) in the Town of Bolton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the reconstruction of Lake Street (State Route 533) in the vicinity of Box Mountain Road and Goodwin Road is scheduled to begin Monday, October 19, 2015, in the Town of Bolton.

The project involves the realignment of the curves on Lake Street to improve sight distances from the intersection of Box Mountain Road. The street will be completely reconstructed and there will also be drainage improvements made along both roads.

Work to be completed will involve clearing of trees and preparations made so the utility poles can be relocated later this fall. The bulk of the roadway work will be completed in the spring once utilities have been relocated.

DOT Project No. 0012-0095, was awarded to Dayton Construction Co., Inc. of Watertown, Connecticut on September 21, 2015 at a cost of $ 987,335.00 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2016.
