Reconstruction of I-84 Eastbound Exit 68 Ramp and Route 195 in Tolland
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the reconstruction of the I-84 eastbound Exit 68 ramp and Route 195 in the town of Tolland will begin on June 29, 2015.
The project consists of full depth roadway reconstruction along with added lanes on both Route 195 and exit 68 off-ramp. The bridge carrying Route 195 over the Skungamug River will be replaced. Also included in the project are new drainage structures, new intersection traffic control signals at the exit 68 off-ramp, Field Stone Commons, Meeting House Commons, and Rhodes Road,  Goose Lane intersection, Elevated median landscaped islands on various sections of Route 195, new sidewalks and pedestrian crosswalks. The entrance to Meeting House Commons will be relocated approximately 250’ west from its current location.
DOT Project No. 142-146 was awarded to MIG Corporation of Acton, Mass., at a cost of $5,813,414.58, on June 11, 2015 and is scheduled to be completed on November 28, 2016.
