The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work for the pavement preservation project on I-91 Northbound and Southbound in Hartford and Windsor.

The project consists of milling, paving, ultra-thin paving, full depth reconstruction, as well as asphaltic bridge joint repairs on the bridges on both sides of I-91.

The project starts at the Trumbull Street exit and terminates at the bridge overpass for Capen Street approximately 600 feet south of Exit 37.

DOT Project No. 0063-0702 was awarded to Waters Construction Co., Inc. at a cost of $10,680,596.50 on May 5, 2015 and is scheduled to be completed on November 1, 2015.
