Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project along Route 77 in Guilford

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 77 in Guilford beginning Sunday evening, August 23, 2015.

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.58 miles of Route 77 in Guilford.  This project is scheduled to occur Sunday night August 23, 2015 to Monday morning September 14, 2015. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday night August 23, 2015 through Tuesday morning August 25, 2015. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday night September 8, 2015 through Monday morning September 14, 2015.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 77 from Route 146 to .28 mile south of Prospect Hill Road. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
