Nighttime Milling & Resurfacing along Route 2 in Colchester

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling & resurfacing project will continue on Route 2 westbound in Colchester through September 3, 2015. 

      The project consists of resurfacing a 2.02 mile segment of Route 2 in Colchester.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 2 WB from the Exit 21 off ramp to Route 11

in Colchester.  Two (2) State troopers, overhead variable message boards, crash attenuator vehicle(s), and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the milling project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Friday).  The regular work schedule for the resurfacing project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Thursday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
