Nighttime Bridge Repairs along Route 8, Northbound and Southbound, in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge repairs will continue on various bridges on Route 8, Northbound and Southbound in Bridgeport through June 26, 2015.

The bridge work consists of asphaltic plug joint repairs and crack sealing on the bridges listed below.

Bridge # 3538 over Prospect Street
Bridge # 3539 over Route 130 State Street
Bridge # 3540 over John Street
Bridge # 3541 over SR 700 Fairfield Avenue
Bridge # 3542 over SB Route 8 RMP 126

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8, Northbound & Southbound between Interstate 95 and Exit 2 (SR 700), in Bridgeport.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00pm to 5:00am, (Sunday through Friday morning).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
