Unscheduled Opening of the Mystic Rt 1 Bridge
To Accommodate the Charles W. Morgan Ship Arrival
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that there will be an unscheduled opening on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 any time between 5p.m. and 5:30 p.m. of the Mystic River Bridge on Rte. 1 in Mystic to allow the Charles W Morgan to return to port.
This is expected to be a longer than normal opening and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to get across the Mystic River during this time.
