Traffic Shift Scheduled for I-95 Northbound Between Exits 45 and 46, Long Wharf Area in New Haven and West Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that an additional section of I-95 northbound between Exits 45 and 46 is scheduled to be realigned to allow for continued work in the median for the replacement of the bridge over West River in New Haven and West Haven.
Realignment work to install barrier and
pavement markings necessary for the installation of temporary drainage system
for this stage of work is scheduled to begin on the evening of Monday,
September 8, 2014 and is expected to be completed by September 12, 2014. All travel lanes from just west of the Howard
Avenue overpass for approximately 1,000 feet easterly to vicinity of Exit 46,
Long Wharf will be affected by this newest traffic shift.
DOT Project No. 0092-0522 was awarded to The
Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, MA at a cost of $129,773,454, and is
scheduled to be completed in November 2018.
