Route 111 North of Cross Hill Road and Route 111 South of Route 110 in the town of  Monroe will be closed starting on Monday August 11, 2014 through Wednesday August 20 , 2014
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the 10 day closure of Route 111 between Cross Hill Road and Route 110. The closure is needed to remove the existing structure, installation and backfill of a new precast concrete box culvert, precast wingwalls, construction of the cast-in-place parapets and reconstruct a portion of Route 111. 
The project involves replacement of Bridge No. 02629 over Beardsley Brook on State Route 111. DOT Project No. 0084-0105 was awarded to Guerrera Construction Company, Inc. of Oxford, Ct on March 19, 2014 at a cost of $759,014.00 and is scheduled for completion in October 2014.

Route#111 DETOUR INFO

Starting on August 11, 2014 at 6:00am, Route 111 North of Cross Hill Road/Route 111 South of Route 110 will be closed and will reopen by August 21, 2014 at 6:00am.

Excluding all truck traffic, traffic on Route 111 Northbound will be detoured onto Cross Hill Road to Wheeler Road to Route 110, and then back to Route 111. Traffic on Route111 Southbound will be detoured onto Route 110 to Wheeler Road to Cross Hill Road and then back on to Route 111. Local traffic only will be allowed to pass the Century 21 Plaza Northbound and Jeanette Street Southbound. 

Truck Traffic:

All truck traffic on Route 111 North or Route 25 North will be detour on to Route 25 South to Route 8 North to Route 110 North in Shelton to Route 111 north in Monroe

All truck traffic on Route 111 South will be detoured on to Route 110 South TO Route 8 South to Route 25 North to Route 111 in Monroe.
