Nighttime Resurfacing Project on Whitehead Highway in Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on the Whitehead Highway, eastbound and westbound, in Hartford.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.60 mile segment of the highway, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014 to the morning of Thursday, July 17, 2014. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, to the morning of Sunday, July 20.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures in the eastbound and westbound direction of SR 598 (Whitehead Highway) from Pulaski Circle to I-91. Motorists can also expect all ramps within this termini to have limited access. Traffic control personnel, signing patterns, and crash attenuator vehicles will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
