Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on Route 2 Westbound in East Hartford.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 2 westbound in East Hartford, June 1-22, 2014.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.62 mile segment of Route 2 westbound in East Hartford. The milling segment of this project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, June 1, 2014 to Friday, June 13, 2014. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed Sunday, June 15, 2014 to Sunday, June 22, 2014.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures in the westbound direction of Route 2 from the beginning of overpass East River Drive to beginning of overpass Maple Street (including Ramps). Traffic control personnel, signing patterns, and crash attenuator vehicles will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
