Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-84 in Southington, Route 72 in New Britain, Route 9 Northbound in Cromwell
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-84 Eastbound & Westbound in Southington, Route 72 Northbound and Southbound and Ramps in New Britain & Route 9 Northbound in Cromwell.
The project consists of Bridge Maintenance at the I-84 Eastbound & Westbound Bridge under Route 229 in Southington, Route 72 Northbound and Southbound & Ramps under Main St. in New Britain & Route 9 Northbound in Cromwell. This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, through 5:00 a.m. Friday, January 09, 2015.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 Eastbound & Westbound at Exit 31 in Southington and Exit 9 on Route 72 Northbound & Southbound in New Britain and near
Exit 20N on Route 9 Northbound in Cromwell. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday–Friday). No work will be performed from Monday, December 22, 2014, to Friday, January 2, 2015.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
