Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Westport
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 in Westport, northbound and southbound, beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2015.
The project consists of bridge maintenance to the I-95 bridge over Hills Point Road. This project is scheduled to occur from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 to the morning of Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2015 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Mohawk Northeast.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95, Northbound & Southbound, Between Exits 17 (Rt.33 Saugatuck Avenue) and Exit 18 (SSR 476, Sherwood Island Connector.) in Westport. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
