Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-84 in Hartford and East Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on four I-84 bridges in Hartford and East Hartford beginning Sunday, August 17, 2014. Hours will be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The project consists of bridge maintenance on the bridges listed below and should be completed by September 18, 2014.
· I-84 over Market Street & I-91 N/B
· I-84 over CT River in Hartford
· I-84 over East River Drive in East Hartford
· I-84 over Rte. 44 E/B in East Hartford
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Traffic control personnel, state police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday). There will be no lane closures Sunday, August 31st or Monday, September 1st due to the Labor Day Holiday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
