MOTORIST ADVISORY - Expect Weeknight Traffic Impacts Tuesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 18, 2014, as Traffic from I-95 Southbound to I-91 Northbound is Shifted into a New Alignment on the New Bridge to I-91 Northbound

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities related to traffic shifts on I-95 Southbound to I-91 Northbound are expected to cause delays throughout the I-95 New Haven corridor the weeknights of Tuesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 18, 2014. Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes to get to your destination.

Motorists traveling on I-95 Southbound to I-91 Northbound (Exit 48) should expect a new alignment beginning Friday, September 19, 2014. CTDOT encourages safe driving throughout the I-95 New Haven Corridor and asks motorists to follow posted speed limits to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow as construction continues.

LANE CLOSURE INFO-

Thursday, September 18, 2014

8 PM – 10 AM:

Single right lane closure on I-95 Southbound between the off-ramp to Frontage Road (Exit 51) and the Woodward Avenue on-ramp to I-95 Southbound.

10 PM – 6 AM

Single lane closure on I-95 Southbound between the off-ramp to Frontage Road (Exit 51) and the I-95 Southbound off-ramp to Route 34 Westbound (Exit 47). Exit 47 will remain open.

RAINDATE- In case of cancellation due to weather, the work Tuesday, September 16 will be rescheduled to Wednesday, September 17, 2014 and the work Thursday, September 18 will be rescheduled to Friday, September 19, 2014.
