Signage Upgrades on Route 25, I-84 and I-91
      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities to upgrade existing signs along Route 25, Interstate 84 and Interstate 95 in the towns of Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Orange, West Haven, Trumbull and Danbury will begin on September 1, 2013.

      Construction activities associated with the installation of signs along Routes 25, I-84 and I-95 in the towns of Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Orange, West Haven, Trumbull and Danbury will require the implementation of both day and night time lane restrictions. This work is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2013.

      Segments of the following routes will be impacted by this project:  Route 25 in Bridgeport and Trumbull; I-84 in Danbury; I-95 in Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Orange and West Haven.

      DOT Project No. 0173-0351 was awarded to ADF Industries, of Berlin, CT at a cost of $4,675,448.00 on April 23, 2013, with anticipated completion in May 2015. 

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO-

      The regular day time work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Monday thru Friday). The regular night time work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday thru Friday). Motorist may also experience 10 minute closures of these highways between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. for the installation of sign structures. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zones.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
